Funding

We welcome donations to this project to enable us to expand the area we are restoring and ensure on-going maintenance and management of peatlands into the future. Corporate funding of this work aligns with ESG commitments.

If you’d like to make a donation, we will gratefully accept these through our partner organisation Manx Wildlife Trust. All funds donated via this link will be used for the Manx Peatland Partnership.

Volunteering

We welcome volunteer help from individuals and corporate groups for a range of tasks, depending on the time of year and volunteer preference.

Types of volunteering tasks include spreading heather brash on bare peat, creating bunds using coir logs and heather bales, removing non-native invasive plant species and surveying peat depth.

Education

We offer members of the public, schools and corporate groups the opportunity to learn about the significance of peatlands and the role they play in our ecosystem. A great opportunity to connect with nature and discover the power of peatlands.

We deliver educational presentations and guided walk and talk events, where we look at various elements of our work including peatland restoration, habitat management to increase drought and wildfire resistance, and natural flood management. Keep an eye on our social media account for upcoming events!
